Altha Mae Davison

Altha Mae Davison, 94, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017. She was born on Tuesday, December 26, 1922, in Coldspring, Texas to Willie and Edna (Williams) Perry, both of whom have preceded her in death. Altha was also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Davison; son, Willie Edwin Thompkins; brothers, Mervin, Ervin, Lester and Chester Perry; sisters, Douglass Woolfolk, and Dolphus Collier. Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Felicia Valentine and husband Tyrone, Donald Ray Thompkins and wife LaTara; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Willie Jean Birmingham; nephew, Gene Locke and niece Rhonda Newhouse; along with many other special nieces and nephews, other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Altha will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. Her services will commence at 11:00 am. Interment for Altha will follow at Coldspring Community Cemetery, at 1 pm. Casket will be open for community to view from 12:30 to 12:50 pm, at the cemetery.
