Barbara Mattern Obituary

Barbara Mattern, 82, of New Caney, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. She was born on Monday, April 2, 1934, in Dobbin, Texas, to Paul Mattern and Katherine (Mock) Mattern, both of whom have preceded her in death. Barbara was also preceded in death by her brothers, Anton, Joe & Philip Mattern; sisters, Annie Phallen, Francis York, Monica Mattern, Christine Hardin, Philabina Busby, Regina Ondrey, and baby girl Mattern; nephew, Albert "Wayne" Sallee; great-nephews, Allen Sallee and Douglas Sallee. Left to cherish her memory is her loving sisters, Betty Sallee, Agnes Evans and Ida Hoffart; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Barbara will be held at Neal Funeral Home, on Saturday, March 25, 2017, from 12:00 pm. to 2:00 pm. Funeral services for Barbara will be at 2:00 pm.
All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
