David Lee Murr

After a long fought battle, David Lee Murr, succumbed to liver failure on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the age of 52. David loved to work outside, the Dallas Cowboys, visiting with family and friends and riding motorcycles. But above all, his greatest source of pride and joy was his daughter, Kaitlyn. David was a very sweet person, who always had kind words to say. He was born on Thursday, July 26, 1962 in Waco, Texas to Robert Lee Murr and Janice Zellmer (Meacham). David was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Murr. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Tammy Hearn-Murr; daughter, Kaitlyn Renee Murr; son, Adam Thomas Hearn; mother and stepfather, Janice and Milton Zellmer, brothers, Charles Murr, Kenneth Murr, David Hixon and wife Robin; sisters, Melissa Case, Cynthia Firquin and husband Sam, Barbara Wood and husband Len; nine nieces, Dorothy, Kristin, Michelle, Lexie, Paige, Patsy, Mayela, Jamie and Holly; eleven nephews, Aaron, Austin, Justin F., Marc, Clint, Dylan, Timothy, Justin W., Eric, Kristopher and Tyler; along with numerous other loving family members and treasured friends. Visitation for David will be held at Neal Funeral Home on May 14, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services for David will be held at Security First Baptist Church on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Reagan Reaves officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to be made to the Kaitlyn Murr Trust Fund at First National Bank of Conroe.
