Virginia Rivera

On December 22, 1955 a beautiful girl was born in Richmond, Texas. She was named Virginia Cantu. She was wittily named "Virgie" and/or Nana by those who loved her.
In September, 1978, Virginia married her longtime friend and love of her life, Jose Rivera. They were happily married thirty-one wonderful years.
Virginia was an amazing person. Amazing is an understatement and I don't believe we will ever find a word to describe her. She was the mom that gladly went without to ensure her children had everything they wanted, stayed up all night waiting for the last child to come home, so that she was comfortable in knowing they were safe in bed.
She leaves a large family behind that will carry and honor her memory proudly; her dad, Ruben Cantu; sisters, Cynthia, Lisa, Rebecca, Ruby, Vanessa, and Sylvia; brother, Richard; sons, Joe, Anthony (wife Molly), Blas (wife Victoria), Christopher Roy (wife Jennifer), Nathan (wife Kristi), Jose Jr. (wife Dana), and Ruben (wife Renee); her daughters, Corinna (husband Rene), and Maria Elena (husband Justin). She also leaves 18 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her memory will be treasured, and she will be dearly missed by many. She is proceeded in death by her mom, Frances; husband, Jose Rivera; and granddaughter, Angelina Marie.
