Clara LaWanda Yancey

Clara "LaWanda" Yancey, 88, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. She was born on Monday, January 7, 1929, in Livingston, Texas, to "Big Daddy" James Dominy and Mary (Oliver) Dominy, both of whom have preceded her in death. Clara was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Forrest Yancey; daughter, Lori Yancey Cloud; brother, Colis Dominy; sisters, Mildred Fry, Lucille Gobel, and Maureen Hill. Left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Paula Mosley Jarrell and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Kody Kennedy, Ashley Mosley and Bubba Young, Jake Hawthorne and wife Deanna, Jessica Hawthorne, Sonny Ray Merrell and husband Billy Jack, Lynsey Osteen and husband Brian, and Ethan Cloud; great-grandchildren, Kolton Kennedy, Lance and Jax Hawthorne, Brooklyn Lee, Madison Hawthorne, Cheyenne Hollie, Kenyon, Mark, Graycee and Kayson Merrell, Lexi, Montana, Brianna and Morgan Osteen, Morgun, Destyne, Madisyn and Caylin Young; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Clara will be held at Neal Funeral Home on August 4, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral services for Clara will commence at 2:00 pm. Interment for Clara will immediately follow at Pin Oak Cemetery. Rev. Carl Williamson officiating.
