Mary Elizabeth Jernigen

Mary Elizabeth Jernigen, 83, of Splendora, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. She was born on Sunday, June 4, 1933, in Wichita, Kansas, to Richard Christopher Nalley and Ella (Goodall) Nalley, both of whom have preceded her in death. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Eugene Jernigen; brothers, Paul Richard Nalley, Leroy William Nalley; sisters, Ruby May Patterson, Sarah Alice Smith; grandson, Zachary Hales; son-in-law, Curtis Phillips. Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Roy Eugene Jernigen and wife Dianne, Gerald Edward Jernigen and wife Carla; daughters, Karen Elaine Handshoe and husband Glee, Jane Elizabeth Phillips, Rosemary Evon Jernigen; grandchildren, Tiffany and Danny Bailey, Scott and Becky Jernigen, Tim and Cindy Jernigen, Kory, Stephen and Kordel Bowling, Danielle and John Wiseman, Jared and Reesa Jernigen, Tyler, Taylor Rachal, Autumn and Brady Michael, Justin Jordan; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Kevin and Jackson Jernigen, Dylan Bailey, Kameron, Kimberly and Tanner Bowling, John and Adalyn Wiseman, Phoenix, Detric, Daniel, Krister and Gracie Jernigen, Chloe and Conner Ringo, Liam Michael and Parker Jernigen; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Mary will be held at Neal Funeral Home, Friday, April 28, 2017, from 6 pm. to 8 pm. Funeral services for Mary will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Saturday, April 29, 2017, 10 am. Interment will be at Splendora City Cemetery. Bishop Ken Shannon, officiating. Beloved friends, Danny and Pat Roberts, to speak for the family.
