Barbara Jane
Wilcoxson
November 10, 1946 – February 11, 2026
Barbara Jane Wilcoxson, our beloved mother, a true pillar and the cherished rock of our family, joined her heavenly Father on February 11, 2026. Born on November 10, 1946, in Tennessee, into a large family with three brothers and five sisters, she was the steadfast heart that held us all together through life's joys and challenges. Though many of her siblings and her dear parents have gone before her, her spirit of unwavering strength remains a guiding light in our lives.
A devoted mother to two daughters, Tina Marie and Wanda Jean Hickman, and a caring grandmother to four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, she poured boundless love and attention into her family. Even as a single mother, she ensured that her daughters never wanted for anything, nurturing them with unmatched care. She extended that love to her grandchildren, whom she helped raise and cherished deeply, maintaining close, loving bonds with each one.
In April 1991, she united in marriage with Robert Wilcoxson, their love story touching hearts as they married twice, only separated in death, and now joyfully reunited. Together, they lived a devoted Christian life, passionately supporting the William Branham Ministry and faithfully attending the Annual Worldwide Easter Gathering every year since 1998. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, inspiring all who knew her.
Her passions were many – from the serene beauty of nature, gardening, and fishing in her earlier years, to socializing and traveling with family and friends. Sundays often found her home filled with the laughter and songs of loved ones, as they gathered to share meal, music, and faith. A gifted songstress, she loved singing hymns and wrote numerous Christian and country songs that echoed her spirit and joy.
She introduced her daughters to Christ through the Gospel Assembly Church, planting seeds of faith that blossomed throughout their lives. Her resilience was remarkable; she taught herself to play piano simply because she was determined to embrace every opportunity for growth and connection. Her home, always spotless and filled with warmth, earned many "Yard of the Month" awards at Lexington Woods located in Spring, Texas, from 2003 to 2026, a reflection of her dedication and pride.
Though dementia marked her final years, it was the profound love and numerous losses of family members that touched her deeply. When her husband passed in 2022, her heart yearned to be reunited with all those she loved. Even then, her strength shone through as she shared her feelings openly, revealing a tender heart full of life and love.
She was a woman of remarkable qualities—loving, kind, reliable, strong-willed, sociable, and deeply dependable. A dedicated accountant and bookkeeper, she found fulfillment in her work, including her last role with Lennar Homes. Her life was rich with daily walks, adventures, family gatherings, and creative endeavors like songwriting and capturing precious moments on video.
She leaves behind her daughters Tina Marie and Wanda Jean, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Kenny and Ronnie Biles, sister Janet Payton, and a loving circle of nieces and nephews. She was proud of her family and fully involved in our lives, always supportive and hands-on—a true matriarch whose memory will live eternally in our hearts.
Barbara is welcomed into the gates of heaven by her first husband, Billy L. Hickman, her late husband, Robert Wilcoxson, and her parents Jerry Lee Biles and Minnie Belle Williams.
We are immensely grateful to have shared her final moments, speaking with her on the day she peacefully passed, feeling her presence, and offering prayers as she was gently called home. While she will be profoundly missed, her legacy of love, faith, and family will forever inspire us.
