Bennie Charles Lee, of Splendora, Texas, passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 66. He was born on February 3, 1960, in Meridian, Mississippi.

Bennie was a good-hearted man who would help anyone he could when they needed him. He worked as a driver delivering parts, and he will be remembered as someone who valued hard work and simple joys. He loved going mudding, spending time around bonfires, riding his Harley motorcycle, and listening to old country music. Those who knew him will remember the spirit he brought to those moments and the kindness he showed to others throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Walston Lee, and by his daughters, Tamatha McCollum, Kayla Eason, Tina Hunter, and Crystal Whitmire. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Brooklin McCollum, Kile McCollum, Paityn McCollum, Brittany Osburn, Dusty Osburn, Chelsea Bearden, Chris Bearden, Kayley Calhoun, Hayley Calhoun, Chelsea Vancamp, and Blake Boles. Bennie is also survived by his sisters, Patty, Kathy, and Teresa. He will be deeply missed by his family and by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ben C. Lee and Bernice Moon Lee; by his son Scotty Wright, his great grandson, Corbin, his brother, Bobby, and by his sister, Trish.

Visitation for Bennie will be held on September 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Neal Funeral Home, 200 S Washington Ave, Cleveland, Texas 77327. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Neal Funeral Home.

Bennie’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and in the many lives touched by his generous and caring nature.
