"Big Eddie" Oliver Edward Ellisor III

New Waverly, Texas

“Big Eddie” Oliver Edward Ellisor III, 68, of Punkin-Evergreen, Texas, passed away on February 23rd 2026 leaving behind a legacy of laughter, generosity, and deep love for his family and community. He was born in Clute, Texas to Oliver Edward Ellisor Jr. and Julia Rose Cox on April 8th 1957. Oliver was preceded in his death by his Father, Oliver Edward Ellisor Jr. 

He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Shelley Ellisor, his son Oliver Edward Ellisor IV (LeAnn), his daughter, Shea Robertson (James), his son Bailey Ellisor and his daughter Courtney Carnes. Also surviving are his grandchildren Brelynn Ellisor, Miki Ellisor, Maverick Robertson, Carter Robertson, Declan Carnes and Great-Grandchild Keelie Kate Lecourias. He is also survived by his loving Mother, Julia Rose Ellisor, brother Randy Ellisor, sister Tammie Mack and sister Quitta Everitt. 

Oliver was known for his witty personality and quick humor — the kind of man who could make anyone feel welcome within minutes of meeting him. He found his greatest joy outdoors, especially fishing, where time slowed down and stories grew bigger with every cast. Whether surrounded by lifelong friends or new faces, Oliver had a rare gift for making people laugh and feel genuinely loved. More than anything, he cherished time spent with his family and friends. His generous heart and easygoing spirit created countless memories that will continue to live on through those who knew him best. He will be remembered not only for the smiles he brought to others, but for the warmth, kindness, and strength of character that defined his life. His absence will be deeply felt, yet the legacy of his humor and love will remain a lasting part of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Checks payable to SJC Fair Youth Auction Reference: Eddie Ellisor. All donations to SJC Fair Youth Auction are tax deductible and 100% of your donation will go to the kids showing in SJC Fair 2026.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday February 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Pine Valley Cemetery, 500 Big Woods Rd., New Waverly, Texas 77358.

All arrangements to be handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
