Brandy Lea Jenkins entered into rest on October 16, 2024, at 57. Born on May 23, 1967, in Cleveland, Texas, Brandy exemplified what it meant to live a life filled with love and warmth. Her presence radiated comfort, and she was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Brandy Jenkins will be greatly missed. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother, GrandBam as her grandchildren called her. She found true love with her husband Roy of 38 years and was most proud of the family they created together. Brandy was an amazing athlete and still holds records for the high jump at Splendora High School and was a record holder at Texas A&M University. She loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing, and in Roy's words "could sit outside and fish for days." Brandy also enjoyed finding treasures with her metal detector. Gardening was another of her joys, and her creations in crafting had a whimsical quality that reflected her lively spirit. She enjoyed collecting knick-knacks that often carried stories of their own, each piece serving as a reminder of her adventures and passions. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in the little things in life.
She is survived by her children: Lane Jenkins and wife Taylor, Laken Kilgore and husband Oren, and Beau Jenkins. The laughter and joy brought by their children were further enhanced by the many adventures shared with Brandy’s grandchildren, whom she considered her entire world: Kayden Jenkins, Kenley Jenkins, Emmy Jenkins, Rhett Jenkins, Walker Jenkins, Kelly Kilgore, and Otto Kilgore. Brandy is also survived by her loving parents, George Stubblefield and Joyce Wells Stubblefield, and will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Britney Glover and husband Matt, Brandon Moore, Camden Glover, Hudson Glover, Weston Moore, Caroline Moore, Cole Jenkins, and Chase Jenkins, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Her sister, Bridges Lea Stubblefield, who preceded her in death, will be lovingly remembered as well, for the bond they shared was unbreakable, a testament to the love that Brandy exemplified throughout her life.
The family invites all who knew and loved Brandy to join them in celebrating her life during visitation on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service in her honor on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM, both held at 200 S Washington Ave. in Cleveland, TX. Interment will immediately follow at Morgan Cemetery.
As we say goodbye to Brandy Lea Jenkins, we hold tight to the lessons she imparted and the love she spread so generously. She remains forever in our hearts, a guiding light for her family and friends, whose memories will cherish her kindness, laughter, and unwavering spirit.
