Brenda Sue Swanson

Brenda Sue Swanson, 70, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother entered the gates of heaven on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. She was born on November 27, 1953 in Liberty, Texas to Walter Wayne Steward and Lillian Grace Ellisor Steward. Brenda was a faithful servant to the Lord and loved her family. She worked as a nurse for many years and in her spare time she enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, playing with her grandchildren and her cat Gust. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Kenneth Steward and Jimmy Steward. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Bobby Swanson Sr. whom she married in 1974; her beloved children, Lisa Coogler and husband Cody, Debbie May and husband Bubba, Bobby Swanson Jr. and wife Tashia, and Laura Taylor and husband Mike; sister, Donna Steward; grandchildren, Cayla Coogler and fiancé Tyler Katz, Ashley Nelson and husband Trey, Caytlin Durdin and husband Ethan, Clay Coogler, Kimi Goss and husband David, Korigan Cleaver and husband Chad, Trey Swanson, Rose Vanwinkle, Karley Penton and husband Terrance, Abby Taylor, Jacob Taylor, and  Will Taylor; great-grandchildren, Rileigh Coogler, Karder Cleaver, Hazel Cleaver, and Emma Nelson; and a host of loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Brenda will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Neal Funeral Home. A graveside service of remembrance will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Ryan Cemetery with Minister James “Jr” Kirkland officiating. Honoring Brenda as pallbearers will be Tyler Katz, Trey Nelson, Ethan Durdin, David Goss, Chad Cleaver, Trey Swanson, Terrance Penton, Jacob Taylor and Clay Coogler. Honorary Pallbearers are Will Taylor, Shannon Roberts, Greg Roberts, and Wesley Swanson.
