Charles Daniel "Danny" Brown, born on March 27, 1952, in York, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, in Cleveland, Texas. He was 74 years old. Danny’s presence touched those around him with quiet strength and steadfast devotion, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. He enjoyed reading and watching westerns, talking about farm life as a child, and anything to do with semi-trucks.

Danny was the beloved husband of Gabrielle "Gale" Gundacker, who survives him and cherishes the many years they shared. He is survived by his children: Cliff Carter and wife Char, Eric Cuartereo and wife Emily, Tabatha Cannon and fiancé Mark, Rebecca Brown, Kenneth Gundacker, and Henry T. Gundacker V , his grandchildren; Seven Carter, lyric Carter, Alexis Cobb, Alyssa Cobb & Justin Godwin, Alena & Jeric Goosby, Eathen Baker, and Xavier Brown, his siblings; Kathe and husband Doug Evans, Chris Jones, Margaret Brown, Connie and husband David Harvey, Claire and husband Gilbert Peck, and David and wife Michele Brown. He is also survived by great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Brown and Wilma Goodberlet Brown, a stepdaughter, April Cobb Gundacker, and a brother-in-law, Leslie Jones, whose memories also remain close to the hearts of those left behind.

Born in Pennsylvania, Danny’s early years were shaped by the values of dedication, integrity, and kindness. He lived on a large dairy farm and would brag about how smart his father was about animals and his mom’s always cooking. These principles guided him throughout his life, influencing his relationships and how he approached each day. Danny’s journey led him to Texas, where he built a new chapter filled with purpose and warmth, embracing his community and the people around him. Danny proudly served in the Army and then became a truck driver for 58 years. He favored driving oversize semi-trucks, including those carrying wind turbines, and other oversize loads. Danny would donate every year to “Wreaths for Veterans”.

His legacy is one of love, dignity, and quiet perseverance. Danny’s memory will continue to live on through the stories, lessons, and moments he shared with friends and family. Those who had the privilege of knowing him remember him for his generosity, fairness, and sense of humor that could brighten even the most difficult days. He loved the challenges and enjoyed small-town life, watching children see them go by and smile.

A man of principle and compassion, Danny’s life was marked by his commitment to those he loved and the example he set by living each day with purpose. His absence is deeply felt by those who remain, but his spirit endures in the many lives he touched.
