Charles Russell Rhodes, born on May 13, 1957, in Houston, Texas, joined his heavenly Father on January 15, 2026, in Tarkington, Texas. He was a devoted husband, cherished brother, and loving friend who touched the hearts of many throughout his lifetime.
Charles's faith served as a cornerstone of his identity. He was a faithful servant to the Lord, embodying the values of kindness, generosity, and love. His profound commitment to his beliefs inspired others in his community and beyond.
With a passion for cars, Charles enjoyed attending car auctions, where he would buy, skillfully restore, and sell cars. His affinity for the outdoors was evident in the time he spent fishing and tending to his beloved garden, where his nurturing spirit blossomed. These interests showcased his zest for life and his appreciation for both the beauty of nature and the thrill of a well-crafted vehicle.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Jamison Rhodes; his brother, David Rhodes and wife Phyllis; his sister, Kathy Whitmire and husband Terry; along with numerous other loving family members and a host of treasured friends who will forever remember him for his warm smile and generous heart.
Charles was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Hank Rhodes and Christine Rhodes. Their legacy of love and support shaped the man he became, and they rest peacefully knowing the positive mark he left on the world.
It is a time for family and friends to gather and share their fond memories, celebrating the remarkable life he led and the indelible impact he made on those who were fortunate to know him.
A graveside service for Charles will take place on Thursday January 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington, Texas.
All Services are being handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
