Charlotte Ann Smith, beloved spouse, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 3, 2025, in Shepherd, Texas, at the age of 68. Born on January 22, 1957, in Pasadena, Texas, she was a remarkable individual whose life was characterized by her unwavering faith, dedication, and love for those around her. Throughout her career as a salesclerk in retail, Charlotte exemplified a strong work ethic and commitment to service. Her warm smile and kind demeanor made her a favorite among customers and coworkers alike. Beyond professional achievements, Charlotte was a faithful servant to the Lord, embodying the values of compassion and kindness that she held dear. Charlotte cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her loving spouse, Daniel Gene Smith, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life filled with joy, support, and unconditional love. She was the proud mother of Amanda Alene Millican, who carries forward her spirit through her own family. In addition to her immediate family, Charlotte leaves behind a cherished legacy of siblings: brother Leslie William Reber; sisters Sandra Gala Chaplin, Belinda Faye Adams, Norma Alene Edmonds, and Carol Lynn Briseno. Her family also includes two grandchildren, Dustin Steven Smith and Loni Makayla Murphy Tubbs, as well as two great-grandchildren, who will always remember her loving heart and nurturing spirit. Charlotte is also survived by other loving relatives and a host of friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity. Charlotte's passions reflected her vibrant spirit. She enjoyed riding horses on Endurance Races and found solace in nature as she loved fishing and spending time outdoors. These activities brought her joy and a sense of freedom that she cherished throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Wilbur Reber and Margaret Eugene Pipes Reber; her son, Jason Wayne Reber; and her sister, Virginia Sue Rusher. Though she has departed from this earthly realm, her legacy of love, faith, and community service will remain imprinted on the hearts of all who knew her. Charlotte Ann Smith will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered for her uninhibited spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she generously shared with family and friends.
