A faithful servant to the Lord, Pete's unwavering belief and deep love for his faith were pivotal in shaping his character. He was not just a man of conviction, but a loving son, brother, and father. Pete's dedication to his family and friends was evident in every interaction, highlighting the depth of his relationships. He was described as a simple, firm, fair, and consistent man—qualities that endeared him to others and made him a pillar of strength in his community.
Pete proudly served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a testament to his bravery and dedication. His military service not only represented a commitment to his nation but also instilled in him values of discipline and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life.

He joins his parents, Lester Irwin Sampson and Mary Emma Sampson; his brothers, George Sampson and Gary Sampson; and his daughter, Joyce Marie Sampson, who have welcomed him into eternal peace.
