Debbie Norene Falls, 69, of Shepherd, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She was born on Thursday, November 18, 1954 in Houston, Texas to Alvin Payne and Jean Payne, both of whom have preceded her in death. As a young girl, Debbie was a tomboy who loved playing outside. She always brought home stray animals.  Her sister, Nancy was her best friend, and they were inseparable. She met her husband at age 13, was married by 14, and had her first child at the age of 18. To Debbie, being a mother and her family was everything. She was the proud wife of an Army Veteran. Debbie raised three successful men. She worked for Shepherd ISD for 17 years before retiring. She loved family poker nights, playing bingo, and spending time with her family and friends especially playing games with her grandchildren. Over the years, Debbie enjoyed going to church and visited many churches. Debbie left words  of wisdom for her family through her journaling, her entry from January 16, 2014 “ Don’t chase people. Be yourself. Do your own thing and work hard. The right people, the ones who belong in your life will come and stay.” Debbie was also preceded in death by her husband, Gary Falls, Sr., brother, Larry Payne, brother, Donny Brown, sister, Nancy Scott. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Gary Falls II, Kenneth Falls, and Roy Yarbrough; twelve grandchildren, Austin Falls, Gary Falls III, Trinity Falls, Brooklyn Falls, Savannah Falls, KJ Falls, Paige Falls, Tyler Yarbrough, Makayla Yarbrough, Hunter Yarbrough, Trace Yarbrough, Heather Yarbrough; brother, Jackie Brown; three sister-in-laws, Judy McGovern, Faye Williams, Melissa Falls; her five beloved dogs, Bobo, Bella, Baby, Coco, and Bear; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and treasured friends.

All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
