Debra Jeane Drake

Debra Jeane Drake, a vibrant spirit and devoted servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, at 72. Born on August 29, 1952, in Woodstock, Illinois, Debra was a beacon of joy and light to those who knew and loved her from an early age. Debra displayed a zest for life that never waned. Known for her spunky personality, she embraced each day with enthusiasm, often seen with pompoms in hand, ready to bring cheer and laughter wherever she went. Her love for music, dancing, and singing filled her home with a warm, inviting atmosphere, echoing the joy that she radiated.

Debra's heart was especially full for her family, cherishing her role as a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Josh Danhour and his wife Leslie, Don Danhour and his wife Leslie, Ryan Drake and his wife Crystal, and Fallon Drake. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit and warmth, reflected in their own lives. Debra adored her grandchildren, Declan Drake, Raistlyn Drake, and Calypso Drake, and took immense joy in celebrating their milestones and achievements. Raistlyn held a special place in Grammy's heart, receiving a boundless love that only a grandmother can give.

Debra's nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family; she was a cherished sister, leaving a legacy of love and bonds with her brother, John Kleeman; her mother, Charlene Werner; and her sisters, Karen Karn and her husband Brett, Sandee Kleeman, Lisa Kleeman, and Kathlene Proctor. They shared countless memories filled with laughter and support throughout the years.

While her life was touched by great joy, it was not without sorrow. Debra was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Keeman, whose guidance and love shaped her life, and her sister Judy Kleeman, whose memory remains a cherished part of Debra's family story.

Nature, flowers, and the joy of a simple chocolate treat brought her immense happiness. Her favorite colors, pink and purple, mirrored the vibrancy she brought into the lives of others. She found comfort and delight in watching deliverance movies, which resonated with her deep faith and commitment to her spirituality.

Though the world feels a little dimmer without Debra's light, her legacy of love, compassion, and unyielding spirit will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be greatly missed by her family, a host of friends, and everyone whose lives she touched along her remarkable journey.
