Denice Yvonne Parker, a cherished member of her family and community, was born on August 13, 1954, in Goose Creek, Texas. She graduated from Tarkington High School in the Class of 1971, where she was not only an enthusiastic member of the school band, playing the clarinet, but also actively engaged in 4H. Throughout her life, Denice found joy in the simple pleasures of the outdoors, especially in tending to flowers and enjoying the rich bounty of pecans.
Denice was a woman of deep faith and a devoted servant to the Lord. She carried this spirit of devotion through her relationships with family and friends, demonstrating a boundless love and care for those around her. Her warmth, kindness, and vibrant personality left a mark on everyone she met.
Denice left this world on September 16, 2025, leaving behind a loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Cathleene Hutson and her husband Jay; her sister-in-law, Peggy Peterson and her husband Charles; along with her beloved grandchildren, Brian Pendarvis, Farrah Lloyd and her husband Brandon, Breanna Lloyd, and Hunter Wayne Lloyd and his wife Kimberly (Homeless Girl). Her great-grandchildren, Gunner Thomas, Braxtynn Lloyd, Ensley Heath, Corbin Lloyd, Colson Lloyd, Casten Lloyd, and Coewen Lloyd, brightened her life and filled her heart with joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Parker; her father, T.J. "Bubba" Dick; her mother, Bet Morris; and her brother, Freddie Dick. Denice's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, service, and cherished memories, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
