Obituary

Dusty Strader, a beloved figure in his community and a dedicated family man, passed away on November 17, 2025, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 66. Born on October 23, 1959, Dusty was a proud member of the U.S. Army, embodying the spirit of service throughout his life.

Dusty forged a successful career in construction, serving as a Project Superintendent. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in every project he undertook. Dusty had a passion for gardening and raising livestock, passions he shared joyfully with his grandchildren. His deep love for family was reflected in his active involvement in their lives, attending their activities, and creating cherished memories together.

Dusty was known for his warm personality, famously keeping lollipops in his shirt pocket for his grandkids. He enjoyed dancing anywhere, at family gatherings, even at a Walmart or at games when the mood would strike him, his spirit shone brightly through the love he showed to those around him. He cherished time spent hunting, fishing, and camping, always finding joy in the outdoors and the company of loved ones.

Dusty leaves behind his wife, Christie, with whom he shared 21 years of love and partnership. He is also survived by his children: Crystal Strader; sons Robbie Morgan and his wife Ashten, Chance Morgan and his wife Lacy, Brian Torkar, Justin Strader, and James Strader and his wife Jennie. He was a proud grandfather to Cody Strader, Mikaela Koschara and her husband Hunter, Kayla Plummer, Brensen (Cutter) Strader, Gentrie Morgan, Brooklen (Duck) Porter, Waylon Morgan, Luke Morgan, Breighlen (Pup) Berry, Broden (Tuffie) Berry, Roper Morgan, Lyla Jolene Morgan, and Colter Morgan. He is also survived by his father, William Strader, and his stepmother, Pat Strader, along with siblings Carl Strader and his wife Valorie, Billy Strader, Brian Strader and his fiancée Julia, Bobby Strader, and Jennifer Carnley and her husband Mike, along with great-grandchildren and those to come, and a host of other loving family members, and friends.

Dusty was preceded in death by his first wife of 17 years, Debra Kay Strader, his mother, Alberta "Sandy" Gewirtz, and stepfather Bill Gewirtz. He also mourned the loss of his sons, Sean Wyman and Michael Georgiou.

A memorial service to honor Dusty's remarkable life will take place on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas, at 1:00 PM.

Dusty Strader will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his legacy of love and dedication to family will forever remain in their hearts.
