Evan Levi
Herring
January 5, 1993 – March 25, 2026
Evan Levi Herring, a cherished son, devoted mentor, and beloved friend, passed away on March 25, 2026, in Waco, Texas, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. Born on January 5, 1993, in Baytown, Texas, Evan lived a life marked by warmth, humor, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Evan was known for his remarkable sense of humor—always the jokester in any room, he brought light and laughter wherever he went. His outgoing personality endeared him to many, and as the site manager for Enel Green Power North, he excelled as a great boss and an inspiring mentor. Evan’s leadership was not just defined by his professional accomplishments but by the genuine care and encouragement he extended to everyone around him.
His service to his country was a testament to his character, having proudly served in the United States Air Force. Beyond his professional and military commitments, Evan was a man of deep faith; a faithful servant of the Lord whose love for family and friends was boundless. Those closest to him remember his abiding kindness and the joy he found in simple pleasures—fishing, boating, hunting, snowboarding, riding motorcycles, and an appreciation for guns, reflecting a life lived fully and passionately.
Among the companions who softened Evan’s journey through life was his precious dog, Susie—a treasured presence and loyal friend. His family was the cornerstone of his world, including his beloved mother Toie Herring and her husband Travis Pletz; his grandmothers, Linda Petty and Edna Herring, and his devoted aunts Tracey Lopez and husband David, Tammey Campbell and husband Bubba, and Julie Brown and husband Darryl. He also leaves behind cherished cousins: Billy Herring, Kody Herring, Christopher York, Little Bubba Campbell, Nicholas York, Justin Campbell, Christina York, and Lindsey Campbell. Alongside these close-knit family bonds were other loving family members and treasured friends who enriched Evan’s life journey.
Evan found eternal peace alongside his beloved father, Timothy Lloyd Herring; and his grandfathers, Bo Herring, Harry Jackson, and Ronnie Petty. Though they have passed on, their spirits live within him and his legacy.
