Georgia L. Klein, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, entered into rest on November 1, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on June 30, 1934, in Walsenburg, Colorado, she was a beacon of warmth and love to her family.
Throughout her life, Georgia's adventurous spirit shone brightly. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Ronald J. Klein in La Junta, Colorado. Together, they embarked on a journey filled with travel and exploration during Ronald's military career. Georgia's enthusiasm for travel was infectious; she often greeted each new set of military orders with a playful, “I’m already packed! Where are we going this time?” This sense of adventure was not just about the destinations but also about the memories she, her husband, and her children created together.
Georgia was deeply devoted to her family, embracing the roles of wife, mother, grandmother, and sister with unparalleled passion. She celebrated her 66th wedding anniversary with Ronald in April, a testament to their enduring love and commitment to one another. Her compassionate nature extended beyond immediate family; she had a special way of loving fiercely and without reservation, which endeared her to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
In her spare time, Georgia found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved reading and engaging her mind with crossword puzzles, cooking delightful meals, and nurturing her beautiful garden. Spending time with her family brought her immense joy, and she often took the opportunity to create lasting memories with her children, and grandchildren.
Georgia is survived by her loving husband Ronald, and her children, Veronica Brewer and husband Robert, Roxanne Klein, and James Klein. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Laura Klein-Koop, Zach Brewer, Peri Brewer, and Ben Klein, along with her great-granddaughter, Khloe Koop. Georgia was also cherished by her siblings, Jeanne Lange and Ruth Ann Warren, and leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom will carry her memory forward.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ned Wilson and Ruth Doty Wilson, along with her sisters Henrietta Wilks and Grace Robicheaux, and brothers Ned Isaac Wilson and Robert Wilson. The legacy of love she built will forever be a source of comfort to those who continue to grieve her passing.
Family, friends and all whose lives were touched by Georgia are invited to celebrate her beautiful life. A private family Mass will be held in her honor on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 702 E. Houston St. Cleveland, Texas, 77327. Following the service, interment will take place at Houston National Cemetery.
Georgia L. Klein will be greatly missed, but her spirit and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
