Heather Marie Letney, born on May 5, 1977, in Galveston, Texas, left our world on November 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith and cherished memories. She was a devoted servant to the Lord, embodying grace and kindness in every interaction. Throughout her life, Heather’s unwavering faith radiated warmth and encouragement to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Heather was a loving wife to Joshua Austin Letney, with whom she celebrated 25 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of life, building a family that shimmered with the love they shared. She was a nurturing mother to her children, Jeffery Whittle, Christopher Whittle, Patrick Letney, and Joshua Austin Letney Jr. Her boundless affection and dedication as a mom created a strong foundation for her children, who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.
As a devoted sister and best friend to Elaina Letney and her husband Chris, Heather built a bond that was unbreakable, filled with understanding and support. She cherished her brothers, Michael Whittle and his wife Lisa, and Richard Whittle, embracing them with love and kinship. The importance of family was paramount to Heather; she took care of everyone around her and was known as a mother figure to many in her community.
Heather enjoyed romantic evenings in the kitchen, cooking delicious meals for her loved ones while soaking in the joy of cooking shows. Cooking was more than a hobby; it was an expression of her love, a way to nourish those she cared for deeply.
Heather’s love extended to her precious grandchildren, Nova Whittle, Ethan Crawford, Cody Crawford, Nevaeh Crawford, Zane Crawford, Rivers Crawford, Emberlynn McClelland, and Layla Letney. Each grandchild was a bright light in her life, filling her days with laughter and joy that she treasured immensely.
Heather is preceded in death by her father, Michael Joseph Whittle: her mother, Dorothy Marie Purvis; and her beloved granddaughter, Emiley Grace Whittle. Their memories will forever live on in the stories shared by Heather’s family, serving as a reminder of the profound impact she made in her lifetime.
Survived by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and a host of treasured friends and relatives, Heather’s legacy of love, nurturing spirit, and indomitable faith will resonate within the hearts of all who knew her. Her journey on this earth may have ended, but the love she instilled will continue to flourish in the lives she has touched.
