Obituary

Randy Anderson, a proud native of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on May 4, 2026, in Cleveland, Texas. Born on July 9, 1951. He leaves behind a legacy that reflects his spirit as someone who was both complex and endearing.

Randy was a truck driver and a diesel mechanic most of his life. Trades that he embraced with commitment and pride. Known for his hands-on approach, Randy was respected in his professions and cherished the independence his work allowed him. He enjoyed a vibrant personality that was memorable to all who knew him. Randy was outspoken and candid, often sharing his views with honesty that could both challenge and endear. His favorite saying, “Just a good old boy, that's the truth and I'm sticking to it,” encapsulated his straightforward, no-nonsense approach to life. While he could be a man of strong opinions, those close to him knew of the love he held for his family and friends, and especially for his beloved dogs, Harley and Riley. He was known as a wildcat in spirit. His adventurous side shone through his love of motorcycle riding, a hobby that brought him joy and freedom. He was incredibly proud of his family.

He is survived by his mother, Wilma Jean Anderson; his children, Jack Anderson Jr., Amie Livingston, Lauren Anderson, Carly Gonzalez and her husband Luis, and Jennifer Stone and her husband Brandon; as well as his grandchildren Taylor Livingston, Eryn Livingston, Brylon Johnson, Taylon Anderson, Julien Gonzalez, Emmanuel Gonzalez, Joshua Gonzalez, Isaiah Martinez, Xavier Martinez, Jocelynn Morales, and Madi-Alayna Morales. Randy also leaves behind three great-grandchildren and numerous other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Raymond Anderson. Randy presence was unmistakable—whether in his work, his passions, or the lasting impressions he left on those fortunate enough to know him. Though he was a man of contradictions, he was always genuine. His love for his family, his spirited nature, and his unwavering pride in his heritage and accomplishments will be remembered with respect and affection by all who knew him.

Randy’s memorial service will be held on May 23, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Neal Funeral Home, located at 200 S Washington Ave, Cleveland, Texas. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to honor a man whose life was as multifaceted as his character.
