Jacob Earl Chapa

September 23, 1981 — June 2, 2024

Cleveland TX

Jacob Earl Chapa, born on September 23, 1981, in Galveston, TX, left this world on June 2, 2024. Jacob was known for his kind and generous spirit; he embodied the values of compassion and selflessness. His personality was a reflection of his belief in helping others without hesitation, always willing to go the extra mile for those in need.

Jacob's interests were as diverse as his big heart. He was the proud owner and operator of his trucking company. He found solace in fishing by the riverside, mastering the art of barbequing delicious meals, and showcasing his culinary skills in the kitchen. However, above all, Jacob cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends.

In the midst of our grief, we remember Jacob for the love he shared and the lives he touched during his time with us. His legacy of kindness and unwavering support will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Jacob is survived by his parents, Dorothy Martinez and Marcelo Chapa; his children, Michelle Fortenberry and Arthur Chapa; his brother, Jesse Martinez; his sisters, Jolene Ward (along with her husband Dennis) and Nichole Franklin (along with her husband David); his grandmother, JoAnn Whitson and numerous aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his uncle, Manuel Chapa, and grandfather, William Whitson.

As we mourn the loss of Jacob from our earthly presence, let us find comfort in the memories we shared and the impact he had on each of our lives. May his legacy inspire us to continue spreading kindness and love to all those around us. Rest in peace, Jacob Earl Chapa.
