Jerry Taylor
Kelley
August 16, 1939 – April 13, 2026
Jerry Taylor Kelley, a cherished father, grandfather, and devoted family man, joined his heavenly Father on April 13, 2026, in Conroe, Texas. Born on August 16, 1939, in Fostoria, Texas, Jerry lived a life marked by service, dedication, and profound love for those close to him.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army, demonstrating his commitment and patriotism to his country. Beyond his military service, Jerry found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, passions that connected him deeply with nature and the outdoors. Perhaps his greatest source of happiness came from spending cherished moments with his beloved grandson, Taylor, with whom he shared many memorable times.
Jerry is survived by his sons, Nathan Jay Kelley and Recie Lee Kelley and his wife Angel. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Donna, Jessie, Cynthia, Taylor, and Daniel and his wife Kelsie. He also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other loving family members and treasured friends who will dearly miss his presence and his warm, steadfast spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor Kelley and Christine Velovis Smith, whose memories he honored throughout his life. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Roger Dale Kelley and Richard Wayne Kelley, whose companionship and family bonds remained an important part of his story.
Jerry Taylor Kelley’s life was one of commitment—to his country, to his family, and to the values he held dear. His loss is deeply felt, yet his memory will endure in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a rich tapestry of stories, love, and treasured moments that will continue to inspire and comfort those fortunate enough to have called him family or friend.
