With a successful career as a retired airline cargo and sales agent for Lufthansa Airlines and Cathay Pacific, Joyce embraced the enchanting world of travel. Her work allowed her to explore far and wide, visiting numerous destinations including Africa, Russia, Italy, Europe, Germany, China, Japan and Hawaii. It is said that her journey through life was mirrored by her courage and resilience, having encountered extraordinary experiences, including a harrowing incident where she was detained at gunpoint while abroad. These stories, along with her adventures, were a testament to her fearless spirit.
Joyce was not merely a traveler; she was a social and adventurous person who enjoyed living life to the fullest. She loved going to casinos and found joy in playing Bunco, Canasta and also loved fishing. Those who knew Joyce remember her as a lively presence, always ready for a good time, and someone who thrived in social gatherings.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Renee George; her devoted sisters, Cindy Kettenbeil, Rosemarie Debonis, and Anna Fleming; as well as a host of wonderful friends and other loving relatives. Joyce's legacy will endure through the cherished memories she created with her family and friends.
Preceding Joyce in death were her beloved parents, John William Fleming and Anna Fleming, whose love and guidance shaped the incredible woman she became. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Joyce leaves behind a world enriched by laughter, journeys, and an unwavering zest for life.
