Obituary

Kevin Anthony Hooper, of Houston, Texas, passed away on October 9, 2026, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 33. He was born on August 15, 1993, in Humble, Texas.

Kevin will be remembered as a man of faith who loved the Lord and as a loving father and protector to those he loved. He worked as an Iron Worker, and he brought care and dedication not only to his work, but also to the everyday parts of life that mattered to him. He was, in his own way, a modern day Man in Black.

He found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. Kevin liked to fish, listen to music, and spend time playing with his children, who were his everything. He also loved to travel with his wife, memories that will remain dear to those who knew them. Spending time with his family allowed him to be unapologetically himself. He also enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Stitch.

Above all, Kevin’s life was centered on the people he loved. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Hooper; his children, Joseph Anthony Hooper and Hazel Lynn Hooper; his father, Kevin Hooper; his “Beautiful Mother”, Dusty Wilkerson Hooper; and his sisters, Kelby Hooper, Cierra Sneed, and Ashlynn Hooper. He also leaves behind 3 nephews, 4 nieces, tons of aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved FIERCLY, and many loved ones who will continue to carry his memory forward in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Tovar; his grandmother, Opal Gloria; his grandfather, Roy Hooper; and his grandmother, Diana Hooper.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on October 24, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Neal Funeral Home, 200 S Washington Ave, Cleveland, TX 77327. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Neal Funeral Home.

Kevin Anthony Hooper will be remembered for his love, his strength, his devotion to his family, and the way he found pride in both big memories and everyday moments. His presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
