Kirk Douglas Shirk

Kirk Douglas Shirk, a dedicated master electrician and self-employed craftsman, passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on May 27, 1963, Kirk approached life with a quiet grace, preferring to keep his personal world private while making a substantial impact on the lives of those who knew him.

Kirk graduated from high school and possessed a wealth of knowledge and skills honed through years of experience in his trade. His unwavering commitment to his work solidified his reputation as a reliable and talented electrician, respected by his peers and clients alike.

In addition to his professional life, Kirk had a deep passion for the simple joys of life. He found peace and happiness at the beach, where he often spent time enjoying the sun and the waves. His love for animals was well known, showcasing his kind heart and compassionate spirit.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Patricia Ferguson, and his children—Douglas Shirk, Patricia Shirk, Seth Hinson and wife Karen, and Hailey Shirk. Kirk's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Kaylin, Dalton, Dominic, Kira, and Rachael. He also leaves behind his brother, Martin Shirk and wife Tonya, as well as a niece, Jennifer Shirk, and great-nephew, Niko. In addition to this immediate family, Kirk is remembered fondly by many other loving relatives and a host of friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

Kirk was preceded in death by his father, Larry Shirk, and his niece, Jessica Shirk. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched, a testament to the quiet strength and warmth he shared with the world around him. As we reflect on his life, we celebrate the love and joy he brought to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
