LaValarie Willett

July 22, 1937 — February 18, 2024

Beloved Mother, LaValarie (Beason) Willett, passed from this world into the arms of Jesus on February 18, 2024, at the age of 86 in her home in Bonham Texas.  LaValarie was born on July 22, 1937, in Silsbee (Spurger), Texas. Her younger years were hard with the country struggling after the great depression and the start of WWII. She and her three brothers always made the best of things. Music and singing were one of their favorite pastimes. Just months before her 15th birthday, in April of 1952, she married the love of her life, Temple Willett, JR. Though their marriage was to be cut short and both remarrying and having their own families, her with 3 children and he with 7 children, they were miraculously brought back together in marriage in January 1998, joining the families together. God’s plan for their love story is now complete with them sharing many years of great love for one another.  LaValarie loved her family and was never afraid to work hard for them, she never complained, just did what was needed. She made sure to cover all her family every day in prayer. Her greatest passion was Jesus and the things of God. No matter where she lived, she always looked for a United Pentecostal Church to attend. Most of the churches she attended she led worship, not only singing hymns, but writing and singing her own songs. She always wanted to give if there was a need in the church. This included helping to build several churches, one being in Africa. She always looked for an opportunity to share Jesus with others. She was an active member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church of Bonham, Texas.  LaValarie was preceded in death by her husband Temple Willett Jr, her parents, Manuel A Beason and Jessie L Scranton. Her three brothers, Jessie A. Beason, Robert M. Beason, and Wesley R Beason.  She is survived by her children, Vicki (James) Stahl, Ragley LA, Hope (Wayne) Carlin, Iowa LA, Thomas Roy (Cassa) Clymer, Florence AL, Lanell (Kenny) Harger, Bonham TX, Deborah (Jay) Davis, Jessieville AR, Mary Gray, Sulphur Springs TX, Lillian Wright, Garland TX, T.J. (Baird) Jackson, Plano TX, Tona Jones, Sulphur Springs TX, Kenneth Willett, Commerce TX. She had 21 grandkids, 30 great-grandkids and 2 great-great grandkids whom she loved dearly.  Visitation for LaValarie will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Neal Funeral Home. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00 am at Neal Funeral Home with viewing starting at 9:00 am.
