Obituary

Linda Susie Ward, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, in Shepherd, Texas. Born on October 5, 1957, in Dequincy, Louisiana, Linda lived a life characterized by her unwavering faith, vibrant spirit, and boundless love for her family and friends.

As a devoted homemaker, Linda poured her heart into nurturing her family. She was known as a faithful servant to the Lord and was often described as a fiery woman with a passion for life. Linda's love extended far beyond her immediate family; she was the glue that held family gatherings together, creating cherished memories for all who gathered around her.

Linda had a zest for life, particularly evident in her love for traveling, where she enjoyed taking scenic routes and appreciating the beauty of her surroundings. Among her many interests, she found great joy tending to her flowers and vegetable gardens, as well as canning and cooking for her loved ones. A talented quilter, she crafted memorable pieces for her grandbabies, reflecting her deep affection for them.

She is survived by her two daughters, Bridgette Adams and Amy Whitman, who carry forward her legacy of love and devotion. Her grandchildren, Matthew Adams, Cheyane Knight and husband Eli, Dylan Ward and fiancé Skylar Gray, Kaden Whitman, Carl Denmon, Brittany Fuller, and Bradley Hopkins were fortunate to bask in her warmth, while her great-grandchildren, Hudson Adams, Noah Ward, Graylyn Knight, Waylon Denmon, Amas Denmon, James Hopkins, and Paisley Hopkins, will cherish the memories of their grandmother for years to come.

Linda also left behind her sisters, Becky Millican, Jan Millican, Paula Mann, Patricia Pass and husband Rob, and Colleen Cargill and husband James. They will remember her as a constant source of support and inspiration.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mike Ward; her father, Leonard Beeson; her mother, Datha Beeson; her grandsons, Charlie Adams and Jeremy Whitman; and her son-in-law, Michael Adams. Their love and memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
