Katheryn was known for her incredible spirit and her passion for writing poetry, a creative outlet that brought her immense joy. She loved to immerse herself in reading, enjoying the worlds that books opened up to her. Her fondness for life's simple pleasures included fishing, where she found peace in nature, and solving crossword puzzles, a testament to her sharp mind. Above all, Katheryn cherished the time spent with her family, whose love and companionship were her greatest treasures.

She is survived by her beloved children: Shane LaCaze, Vicky Thomas and her husband Doug, Amber Barton and her husband Michael, and Crystal LaCaze. Additionally, she delighted in the joy of 15 great-grandchildren, who undoubtedly carry on her legacy of love.

Katheryn was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 58 years, James LaCaze, whose memory she cherished as one of the great loves of her life. She also mourned the loss of her parents, Celmer Cagle and Connie Will, and her brothers: James Green, Elijah Cagle, Harvey Cagle, Gary Cagle, and Dennis Cagle. Their absence left an indelible mark on her heart, yet their spirits will continue to resonate through the love that she instilled in her family.
