With profound sadness and aching hearts, we share the loss of Mavryck Len and Skylar Jayne Chambers, who left us far too soon on August 11, 2026, in Cleveland, Texas. Mavryck was born May 18, 2022 in Kingwood, Texas and Skylar was born June 1, 2023, in Livingston, Texas; their lives were a radiant presence for all who loved them. Skylar and Mavryck were bound together in life by an unmistakable closeness, a love so deep and true that those who witnessed it knew it was a special gift meant for both of them. They loved each other so much—inseparable in every moment, a devotion granted from above for reasons only heaven would know.
Cherished and adored, Skylar was always looking out for Mavryck, she was his keeper and fiercely protective and caring—a bond that spoke volumes of the gentle, loyal soul within. Their days overflowed with energy; always busy, always together, and always lighting up the world around them. To their family, they were beautiful and perfect in every way—a blessing beyond measure, treasured in all their uniqueness and spirit.
Their absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who survive them: their parents, Matt Allen Chambers and Meaghan Michelle Herrod; loving sisters, Sailor Layne Shehane and Harlee Anne Chambers; proud grandparents, Michael Len Herrod and wife Kimberly Anne, Auntie Samantha Hoffman and husband Seth. Their cousin Campbell Wesley Hoffman will also forever carry the warmth of their spirits. Great-grandfather Samuel Douglas Herrod, great-grandmother Karen Louise Bickford and husband Dennis, and great grandfather, William Richard Sumners. Also, proud grandparents, Sydney Allen Chambers and wife Theresa Jane; Aunts, Brandy Chambers, Sonya Chambers and husband Marty Foss.
They join in peace their beloved brother Michael Allen Chambers; great-grandmothers Beverly Ann Herrod and Sylvia Sumners; great-grandfather Thomas Brown; and great-uncle Danny Lee Herrod—souls who have gone before, waiting with open arms to welcome Mavryck and Skylar to everlasting rest.
To all who knew them, Mavryck’s and Skylar's memory will echo in endless ways: through laughter shared, the gentle touches, and the undeniable bond that was impossible not to admire. As we grieve, we remember the energy, the love they gave to each other and everyone around them, and the profound way they touched every heart blessed enough to know them.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation on August 17, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Neal Funeral Home, 200 S Washington Ave, Cleveland, TX 77327. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Farley Chapel Cemetery, 5511 Farm to Market 2666, Shepherd, TX 77371.
We hold close the precious memories, forever changed and forever grateful for the sunshine Mavryck and Skylar brought to our lives. Their love for each other, a love that was a gift to all of us, will remain an indelible mark on our hearts.
"Fiercely loved, desperately missed, but happily playing in the presence of the Lord"
