Livingston

It is with deep sorrow and abiding love that we announce the passing of Michael Leo, affectionately known as “Mike” to his friends and loved ones. Michael departed this world peacefully on May 17, 2024, in Livingston, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and joyful memories that will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him. Born on June 3, 1943, Michael lived a life rich in compassion, laughter, and dedication to those he cherished most. A devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, and treasured brother, Michael touched the lives of many with his gentle spirit, warm presence, and unwavering devotion to family. Michael shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Megan Leo. Their marriage was a shining example of enduring love—a union built on mutual respect, shared dreams, and countless cherished memories. Together, they built a home filled with affection, laughter, and unwavering support, becoming a source of strength for one another through all of life’s seasons. He was immensely proud of his son, Benjamin Steven Leo, who was the light of his life and the source of immeasurable pride. Michael’s bond with Benjamin was a testament to his character—a father who led with kindness, taught with wisdom, and loved unconditionally. Their time together was marked by joyous celebrations, heartfelt conversations, and memories that will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who witnessed their special connection. Michael was born to Timothy Frank Leo and Nancy Leo (Marcus Price), who nurtured him with love, guidance, and strong family values. His childhood home was filled with warmth and laughter, setting the foundation for the compassionate man he would become. He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers, Kevin Leo (and wife Brittany) and Brian Leo (and wife Krystal)—with whom he shared countless memories, adventures, and a brotherhood that stood the test of time. A man who deeply cherished family, Michael’s warmth and joy were especially felt during birthdays, holidays, and family gatherings—occasions he took great care to make meaningful and memorable for everyone involved. His devotion extended to his beloved grandparents, Sammy and Charlene Leo, whose love helped shape his early years, and to his cherished grandmother, June Hosmer, who preceded him in death and whom we trust has welcomed him home with love and peace .Michael's love radiated outward to the next generation as well. He was a beloved uncle to Hadle Leo, Emilee Leo, and Kaylee Leo, and a guiding presence in the lives of his nephews Dmitri Parrish, Zion Parrish, and Sage Byerly. Whether offering advice, a playful joke, or simply a listening ear, Michael was a steady, supportive figure whose presence will be dearly missed. Michael had a zest for life that was unmistakable. A lover of technology and storytelling, he often found joy in exploring virtual worlds through video games, where his imagination thrived. His adventurous spirit also drew him to the wonders of the natural world and science. Outings to NASA and the zoo were more than just trips—they were opportunities to learn, explore, and marvel at the intricacies of the universe, always with childlike wonder and curiosity. Though his time with us was far too short, Michael Leo lived fully and loved deeply. His humor, thoughtfulness, and the quiet strength of his character left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy will live on in the stories we share, the values he instilled, and the love that continues to bind us together in his memory. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on—forever etched in our hearts, forever a part of our lives.

Rest in peace, Michael. Your light will never fade.
