Miguel Angel Perez, born on June 17, 1964, in Puerto Rico, entered into rest on June 19, 2026, in Kingwood, Texas. His journey of 62 years was marked by warmth, integrity, and an unwavering devotion to family and friends.
Miguel’s story began in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he grew up surrounded by the vibrant culture and close-knit community that would shape his values throughout his life. The lessons and love he received in his early years remained central to him, guiding his actions and enriching the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Miguel proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, earning numerous commendations for his dedication and skill. His honors include the Army Achievement Medal 1st OLC, Good Conduct Medal 2nd AWD, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon w/Num 2, Expert Marksmanship Badge Pistol, Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge Rifle, and Marksman Marksmanship Badge Grenade. His legacy of service and commitment will be fondly remembered. Miguel left the military and became a private investigator and worked diligently for years and retired from a fulfilling career.
He is forever cherished by his beloved wife of 27 years, Adbia Rosa Martinez, whose partnership, love, and support were central pillars in Miguel’s life. Miguel is also remembered by his father, Carmelo Perez and his stepchildren, Lily Tosado and husband Jose, and Andres Tosado and wife Christine; and his siblings, Carmelo Perez, Jose Antonio Perez and wife Jezbeth, Migdalia Freeman and husband Charles, Wanda I. Perez, and Jonathan Perez. His grandchildren Joshua Tosado and wife Anabel, Kaitlin Tosado, Sacha Tosado, Serena Tosado, Victor Cortes, and Jose Tosado Jr., along with countless nieces and nephews were touched by his kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit. He enjoyed sharing time and getting stuff for them. His memory will sustain them and all who knew him in the days to come.
Miguel was also deeply shaped by memories of those who preceded him in passing, including his mother, Eneida Estrada, and his sibling, Angel Luis Perez. Miguel honored their memories through the values he embodied and the stories he carried forward, ensuring their legacies continued through his own loving actions.
Those who knew Miguel speak of his readiness to offer a helping hand, his thoughtful advice, and the warmth of his companionship. Whether among family or friends, Miguel’s presence was a source of comfort, laughter, and strength. His gentle spirit and steadfast sense of loyalty earned him respect and affection from all corners of his life.
