Mildred Faye Scott Rowell entered Heaven’s gates on July 22, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born on October 26, 1946, and lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, and unwavering love for her family.

A faithful servant of the Lord, Mildred was a devoted member of First Pentecostal Church of Greater Houston. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her with grace, kindness, and a servant’s heart. She found joy in worship, listening to old country gospel music, in fellowship, and sharing God’s love through the way she lived each day. Mildred dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Her compassion, gentle spirit, and commitment to helping those in need made a lasting impact on the many lives she touched throughout her nursing career. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Renee King and husband Mike, and Wende Pinson and husband Finn. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Tiffany Delagarza and husband Chris, Summer Springer and husband Craig, Christopher Pinson and wife Kayla, and Michael Pinson and wife Amanda. Mildred’s greatest treasures also included her cherished great-grandchildren: McKenzie Jacobs and husband Jaylon, Jazmine Landry, Zackary Bourque, Bentley Springer, Bella Springer, Blakely Springer, Amelia Delagarza, Blake Pinson, Lexi Pinson, Finley Pinson, and Brooklyn Springer. She is also lovingly remembered by many extended family members and dear friends.

Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Rowell; her parents, William Scott and Beulah Gainey Scott; her brothers, Thomas Scott and Huey Scott; along with numerous siblings.

Family was the center of Mildred’s world. She loved deeply and unconditionally, always placing the needs of those she loved before her own. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and the comfort that only she could provide. She found peace and happiness in the outdoors, especially while hunting, tending to her garden, and enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. She had a special fondness for orchids, whose elegance reflected her own gentle spirit, and the color purple, which brought her joy and was a favorite throughout her life. Mildred will be remembered for her unwavering faith, caring heart, quiet strength, and the love she so freely gave to everyone around her. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the patients she compassionately served, and the countless lives she touched with kindness and grace. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, her family finds comfort in knowing she has entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior and has been reunited with those who have gone before her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Mildred will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

A visitation for Mildred Faye Scott Rowell will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at First Pentecostal Church of Greater Houston, 23915 US-59, Kingwood, Texas 77339. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 AM at the same location. Mildred will be laid to rest following her service at White Oak Cemetery in Porter, Texas
