Nora Elizabeth Bamsch, a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister, departed this world on January 2nd, 2026, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 52. Born on November 9th, 1973, in Houston, TX, Nora lived a life filled with Love, Laughter, and Devotion to her family.
Nora's unwavering faith in the Lord served as the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both trials and triumphs. She embraced her family and friends with boundless love and affection. She found immense joy in the company of her family and friends. She and her devoted husband Charles Bamsch shared a love which transcended time.
Nora was known to be a free spirit, with a personality large enough to fill any space. She had an infectious zest for life felt by those around her. Her flair for life will live on through the memories of friends, family and others she touched with her colorfully themed Hawaiian Luaus, birthday parties, Halloween parties, holiday festivities, costume themed parties and Bar-B-Q cookoffs. She had an unrivaled passion for life and adventure, whether it was taking family vacations to the many state parks around Texas, or just a trip to the beach. Nora possessed an innate ability to capture moments in time, captivating those around her and seamlessly turning those moments into memories which will forever be etched in the hearts and in the minds of her loved ones.
Nora had a love for her animals, cows, horses, sheep and many more. She would rescue any animal which she deemed needed her assistance. It could have been a racoon, a pot belly pig or an iguana, if they were in need, she was their friend indeed. Except for snakes, she was not offering any assistance to snakes whatsoever.
Nora leaves her loving family to cherish her memory, her devoted husband, Charles Bamsch; children, Spencer Lewis Wertz with Shea Williams, Colton Richardson with Bailee Wortham, Braden Richardson, and Amanda Starr Wurst; grandchildren, Maverick Wertz, Lainey Wertz, Tate Richardson, Treyson Richardson, Amilia Coleman and Branson Artherholt; her two beloved sisters, Christina Fitzsimmons with husband Kenneth, and Yvonne Knight with husband Michael; longtime friend Brad Richardson; as well as a host of other family members and friends who will continue to honor her legacy with love and remembrance.
Nora is preceded in death by her parents, Ben Arthur Newman and Stella Marie Hoffpauir and Billy Wertz. Their spirits shall join her in eternal peace, but the indelible impact Nora made upon our lives will be carried with us through the years in the cherished memories of her laughter, spirit and endless love.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Neal Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas, followed by a funeral service commencing at 10:00 AM at the same location, with her interment following at Giddings City Cemetery in Giddings, Texas.
