Patsy Blasingime

July 10, 1951 — May 5, 2025

New Waverly, Texas

Patsy Blasingime, a cherished member of her family and community, went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 5, 2025. Born on July 10, 1951, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Patsy grew up along the Gulf Coast, where she spent her days surfing in the ocean and developing a deep love for nature.

Patsy was a dedicated homemaker and retired bookkeeper who took immense pride in her family. She was married to her beloved husband, Luther Wayne Blasingime, for 36 wonderful years. Together they raised their son, Kolten Blasingime, creating a loving home filled with laughter and affection. Patsy also cherished her sister-in-law, June Cohn, and the many nieces, nephews, and loving family members who surround her.

An avid lover of life, Patsy had a zest for the simple pleasures that brought joy to her everyday moments. She adored birds and flowers, often tending to her garden, and she found delight in the beauty of red roses, her favorite flowers. A true creative spirit, she found solace in the music of Janis Joplin, often immersing herself in the melodies that resonated with her soul. Her favorite color, turquoise, reflected her vibrant personality.

Patsy was proud to be a member of the Cowboy Church of Montgomery, Texas, where she created lasting friendships based on mutual love and respect. Her strong faith shaped her life and inspired those around her.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Curtis Cohn and Annie Clara Cohn Taylor, and her siblings: Shirley Cohn Hilton, Dwynell Cohn and his wife Ida, and William Cohn. Though they are no longer with her, their love and memories remain a vital part of her story.

As we remember Patsy Blasingime, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love for her family and friends, joy in nature, and a passion for faith and music. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
