Robert Julian Sells Jr.

Robert Julian Sells Jr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, left this world on April 4, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on October 6, 1934, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, Robert was a remarkable man whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone he met.

Robert's journey through life was deeply rooted in love and family. He found enduring happiness in his marriage to Maxine Sells, his beloved wife of five years. Their partnership was filled with laughter, companionship, and shared memories that will be remembered fondly by all who witnessed their bond.

He took immense pride in being a father to his two children, Lola Ruth Reich and Robert Julian Sells III. His love for them was a guiding force in his life, and he nurtured them with the same devotion he received from his own parents, Robert Julian Sells Sr. and Lola Ethyl Gammill, who preceded him in death. Robert's legacy continues through his three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy and a sense of purpose in his later years.

In addition to family, Robert was blessed with the presence of many dear friends who cherished his gentle spirit and the timeless wisdom he imparted. He was especially grateful for the care and support of his special caregiver, John Carsey, whose kindness helped to ease his way in his final years.

Robert's life was one of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those around him. Though he is preceded in death by a brother and a sister, his spirit lives on in the hearts of his surviving family and friends. As we bid farewell to this incredible soul, let us celebrate the life he lead, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
