IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shannon Joy
Perry
December 2, 1958 – December 8, 2025
Shannon Joy Perry, born on December 2, 1958, in Conroe, Texas, ascended to her eternal home on December 8, 2025, in Houston, Texas, after bravely battling cancer for the past two years. She is now free from the struggles of this world, embracing the light and peace of Heaven.
Shannon’s journey as an unwavering servant of the Lord touched the lives of many, as she was an active member of Church that Cares, in Tarkington, Texas. Her faith, woven with a sincere love for her family, created a rich tapestry of life filled with generosity and humor. Known for her big vocabulary and endearing nerdiness, Shannon brought joy to those around her. A connoisseur of words, she delighted in playing Words with Friends, reveling in the challenge and camaraderie it offered. Shannon received her LVN license in 1978 and worked for Dr. S. Cherlo for 16 years.
Her laughter was a beacon, her sense of humor leaving an indelible mark on her family and friends. Shannon cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, showering unconditional love upon her children, Michael Forrest Perry and his wife Alicia, Robert Perry, and Andrew Perry and his wife Gabrielle and her beloved grandchildren, Gabriel, Elizabeth, Emma, Benjamin, Olivia, Hannah, Soloman, and Madeline. Each moment spent with them was cherished, a testament to the bonds she nurtured with care.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Shannon is survived by a loving circle of family, including her brother Glenn Fulcher and his wife Vicki, her dear sisters Sandra Teas, Rita Carlos, Cheryl Brown and her husband Robert, and Cindy Rodriguez. Her cherished friend Judy Reed, lovingly known as her "Sunshine Friend", stood by her side, sharing memories that illuminated their lives. Even in her passing, her devoted fur baby, Bear, remains a symbol of the affection she dispensed freely. She is preceded in death by her parents, Spurgle James Fulcher and Vira Carnelia Buckner Fulcher who welcomed her into Heaven's gates.
Shannon's legacy continues through the love of her family and the warmth of her friendships. She leaves behind a host of friends and other loving relatives who will carry her spirit with them into the future. The world is a little dimmer without her radiant presence, but heaven has gained a beautiful soul. As we remember Shannon Joy Perry, let us celebrate a life well-lived, one filled with laughter, love, and unwavering faith.
