Steven Scott Jarvis, born on January 19, 1971, in Tampa, Florida, passed away on May 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and deep devotion to his family. A beloved father, grandfather, son, sibling, uncle, and friend, Steven touched the lives of all who knew him with his warmth, humor, and unwavering kindness.
A proud and devoted grandfather, Steven often said his greatest joy came from the time spent with his grandchildren, whom he lovingly referred to as the center of his universe. These precious children, Lisa Merie, Yvonne, Landon, Benji, Charlotte, and Aurelia were constant sources of love and inspiration for Steven. Professionally, Steven brought dedication and compassion to his role as an appointment setter for United Healthcare. His contributions to the medical insurance field helped countless individuals navigate healthcare, and his personable nature made him a trusted voice in the lives of many clients. He had also pursued higher education, completing some college coursework, reflecting his enduring belief in personal growth and lifelong learning. Steven's personality was as vibrant as his sense of style. Known for his keen fashion sense and love of shopping, he often expressed himself through colorful outfits and stylish accessories. He had a passion for cooking and baking, and was the heart of many memorable gatherings, where his culinary skills were as appreciated as his stories and laughter. Steven created spaces filled with warmth and togetherness.Nature walks in the park and evenings filled with music were among Steven's favorite pastimes. A devoted fan of Cher, he found solace and joy in her music. His love for nightlife and spontaneous adventures made him a beloved companion to many friends and family members who shared in his zest for life.Steven is survived by his daughter, Paige Jarvis-Wright, and her husband, John; his sons, Zachery Gerald Jarvis and Myles Arless Jarvis and his wife Brianna. His loving mother, Nana; his adored grandchildren: Lisa Merie, Yvonne, Landon, Benji, Charlotte, and Aurelia. He also leaves behind a large and loving extended family that includes numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his faithful dog, Lily.Steven was preceded in death by one cherished Angel daughter, his beloved wife, Lisette Renee Jarvis, and his father, Gerald Merit Jarvis.A celebration of Steven’s life will take place at Neal Funeral Home, located at 200 South Washington Avenue in Cleveland, Texas. Though Steven may have left this earthly life, his spirit endures in the laughter of his grandchildren, the meals he taught his children to cook, the songs he loved, and the countless memories shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy is one of boundless love, vibrant energy, and a life richly lived.
The visitation will be held at Neal Funeral Home, 200 S. Washington, Cleveland, Texas 77327, on May 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
