Troy Dan McDonald, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, passed on July 7,2024. He was born on June 17, 1961. Known for his mischievous pranks with friends and his kind-hearted nature, Troy was a hard-working man who always knew to do the right thing. He set an example for many with his integrity and honesty.
Affectionately as PawPaw to his grandchildren, Troy cherished his role in their lives. His faith in God was unwavering and served the Lord faithfully throughout his life. Troy had a deep sense of patriotism and was respected as a true cowboy - a man's man who mentored numerous young individuals.
Troy will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 28 years, Amanda McDonald; his mother, Carolyn Gay Dudley and her husband David; his children Michael Solley and wife Heather, Brandon Solley; his brother Clayton Lynn McDonald and wife Carla; and his grandchildren Havyn Solley, Harmony Solley, Jacob Solley, Kevin Solley, Kinlee Solley, and Blaine Solley.
He is preceded in death by his father Melvin Clayton McDonald; his brother Matthew C. McDonald; and his son Nathan Lee Solley.
Services to honor Troy's life will take place at Neal Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 11:00 AM.
Troy Dan McDonald will be remembered for his warmth, guidance, and unwavering commitment to what he believed in. May he rest in peace knowing he made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
