Obituary

Today the world lost the worlds truest Dallas Cowboys fan, William “Billy” “B” Dave Stamper — a man who lived loud, loved hard, and left a whole lot of stories behind.

Billy was one of those people who would help anyone… even if he lectured you about it the whole time. Grumbling was just part of the process. If you needed something, he showed up — whether you were family, a friend, or someone who just crossed his path.

B loved beautiful women, good food, and being in the kitchen cooking something that always came with a little extra heart (and probably extra seasoning). He definitely got better as the years went by — just ask the raw chicken from the infamous 1997 BBQ, which he could never live down, even in death.

He was a lifelong, stubbornly loyal Dallas Cowboys fan — through the wins, the losses, and all the heartbreak (and there was, and is, a lot) in between.

Billy had two left feet when it came to dancing, but that never stopped him from trying… every now and then, when some girl begged him to dance. He adored kids, was a total sucker for Halloween, and had a mischievous, ornery streak that kept life interesting. He loved a good rom-com, adored horror movies, and yet nothing — absolutely nothing — could ever beat Star Wars in his book.

He loved to travel, loved his puppy dogs fiercely, and found real joy coaching youth basketball and football, cheering kids on and teaching them more than just the game. He was an amazing big brother, little brother, son, uncle, and friend — the kind of person who looked out for others, whether they asked or not.

Billy didn’t worry much about being liked. What mattered to him was being real, being loyal, and being there when it counted. And he always was.

He is gone far too soon, but his laugh, his heart, his stubborn streak, and his love live on in all of us who knew him. The world is a little quieter without him — but a lot richer for having had him in it.

Rest easy, Billy.

We’ll keep the stories going.

We’ll keep laughing.

And we’ll keep you close, always.

Love you forever, B.

P.S. 2025 The Houston Texans have an 11-5 record, placing them 2nd in the AFC South division.

The Dallas Cowboys have a 7-8-1 record, placing them 2nd in the NFC East division.

P.P.S. Just to see you smile.❤️
